Aloha,
and welcome to Hawaii!
During
May 2004, Alicia and I had the pleasure of joining my parents
in Hawaii for 10 days in paradise. We toured three islands during
our stay: Maui, Kauai, and Oahu. This site has been created to
preserve and share the memories of that trip.
Initially,
there will be only photographs on this site. For now these are
photographs from the two roles of film I took in Hawaii. My dad
also saved about 100 digital photos, and when I get my hands on
those I will add some to the site. Finally, I plan to add some
video. I took about three and a half hours of video with our new
camcoder. Look for that to be added early next year as the editing
of that video is on hold.

this waterfall on Monday, May 24, our final full day on Kauai.
Left Background: Sunset from our 6th-floor balcony at the Renaissance
Resort in Wailea, Maui. I took this photograph about a half-hour
after we arrived at our hotel on May 18, our first night in Hawaii.
While the sunsets we saw in Hawaii were beautiful, they did not
come close to some of the incredible sunsets we see in Arizona
when there is a lot of dust in the air. The island of Lanai is
in the background.

photograph: This is the magnet that Alicia and I bought in Hawaii.
I have collected magnets from the places I have visited for over
ten years, so one of my biggest tasks on vacation is to find the
best looking magnet possible. I looked throughout the trip and
made this purchase in one of the shops at the Hilton Hawaiian
Village on Waikiki Beach.
